[ He shrugs, taking a step forward, not at all put off by Leon's . . . well, leon-ness. With one motion, he flips the knife back around. ]

[ As he speaks, he gets to work, careful not to stab Leon in the process. ]

( having Luis help him out is, most assuredly, easier than it would have been to do it himself. in fact Luis makes astonishingly fast work of them. having two hands helps, to be fair. not having a Ganado trying to maul him in the middle helps too. by the looks of things, Leon's knife is through the eye of a corpse at his feet, which does make things a bit more difficult when it comes to getting out on his own.

it is a relief to have his arm back, don't get him wrong. it is also excruciatingly painful, since it'd been held above his head about an hour. Leon makes a mumbled grunt of pain, rolling his shoulder to try and loosen it as the bloodflow tries to figure itself out again. he gingerly lifts his wrist to examine the damage from trying to break free. it isn't ... great. bloody and bruised. that isn't really anything new, though. )

Patterns, huh? That mean next time you'll leave me hanging?

[ Luis hums as he takes a step back, giving Leon the minimal amount of personal space that he can around here. ]

( there's not a lot of personal space to be had down here, to be fair. Leon didn't tense up to have Luis in his face with a knife, so, he's all right with the guy in his breathing room. he did make it past a parasite wearing a suit of armor to get him out of here, that counts for something. )

Heh. ( that's not an answer. the answer is somewhat obvious — yes, as long as Luis isn't part of the coup involving the president's daughter — so why say it? redundant information.

less redundant is showing some kind of gratitude for not being chained to a wall anymore. Luis has Leon's number on his general Leon-ness, even Leon can put credit where credit is due. )

[ He starts making his way down the tight hallway, careful not to jostle any of those chains with . . . spiked balls or whatever attached to them. Salazar really needs to make better decorating choices. ]

( Leon is slow to follow. he's injured, okay. where's the nearest ""weed""? he's not stocked to the gills, he lost all his gear when he got shackled to the wall. but it will likely be somewhere nearby because these poor spaghetti heads have lost most of their ability for higher reason. )

[ He rolls his shoulder like that's no big deal. pshhh, just a couple of armadura, who cares?

( if it wasn't already obvious, all he's got on him is a knife. and he had to dig that out of a skull before he followed, so who knows what condition it's in. )

Luis frowns slightly, tipping his head over to the side. ]

( they did, though. what good would it be to cuff him to a wall if he had a small arsenal worth of equipment on him? the cultists aren't known for deep thinking but even they figured that one out. well, mostly, they did leave Leon with a knife. it was his secret knife, to be fair.

Leon grunts, and pushes a little closer. if there's armadura between them and the getaway, he should be in front. )

He sighs deeply, shaking his head even as he allows Leon to push towards the front. ]

Then we need to find them. They would not have taken it very far.

( 🥹 wow. if he ever had to wonder if the guy liked him, this is pretty damning. Leon is immediately fussing, checking weight, looking down the sights. )

Leon will go to toe with only a knife when he has to, in fact he's quite good at it! still, a bunch of parasitic spaghetti clunking around in armor, some firepower is welcome. )
