Okay SOME aren't, sure, and some old men have the mentality of a cracked egg, but i think it'd be worse if I said you were physically or even spiritually an old man.

And on the opposite side of the spectrum are the nosy know it all's who are probably more annoying. At the middle.. Lazy brained? You know, like when you're smart enough to learn more but too cozy where you are to put in the effort, I guess?
( in plenty of ways, it's just a number. but somehow he feels both too young and too old. and that feels like an impossible conundrum to explain to a girl that is so young still, her whole life ahead of her. maybe it's good she doesn't get it, considering it all started when he was about her age and his entire world went to shit. if she doesn't feel like that after the fanatical cult tried to use her take over the world, maybe he managed to do something right for a change when he was hauling her out of Valdelobos. )
